Lucy-Rose Miller competed in Stoa from 2020 to 2026. She claimed four national titles and ended her senior year as both NITOC Tournament Champion and as the overall number one ranked competitor in the nation.
What is Lucy’s competitive experience?
Lucy competed in virtually every event under the sun, including every limited preparation event, every platform event, every interpretive event, every debate event, and two wild card events. She won a total of 61 tournaments during her career and claimed 12 6-0 records in debate. During her last three years of competition, she only attended two full tournaments in which she did not win at least one event.
What were the highlights of Lucy’s career?
At NITOC 2022, Lucy secured her first national title in Duo Interpretation. In 2024, she secured her second, this time in Expository Speaking. In 2025, she claimed the national title in Dramatic Interpretation (recently changed to “Literary Interpretation”) after winning every single tournament she competed that year for a total of nine back-to-back wins in DI alone. In 2026, Lucy became the national champion in Apologetics and the overall 2026 NITOC Tournament Champion. She is one of only a handful of competitors in Stoa history to have won a limited prep event, a platform event, and an interpretive event at NITOC. During the regular season, Lucy also won tournaments in every regular event Stoa offered save (what used to be) Humorous Interpretation.
What makes Lucy a good coach?
Lucy has a passion for leadership. She has coached her own club in the past and desires to be inspiration to those younger competitors who seek to be just like her.
Why Does Lucy Coach?
Lucy has found coaching to be a rewarding way of investing in others. She has coached her own club for three years and has helped numerous students individually online. Now, she seeks to reach the broader Stoa community with her skills in order to help as many students as possible. After succeeding herself, she would like to see others succeed. Hourly Session

If you are booking a session to receive coaching for either Team Policy Debate, Parliamentary Debate, or Duo Interpretation, you may book as a team under the same hourly rate. Semester Package
The Semester Package is for students seeking to benefit from all aspects of Coach Lucy-Rose Miller’s coaching. If you are looking for a semester-long coach who will work through all aspects of your speech and debate journey with you—from goal-setting to practice to coping with successes and disappointments—, then this package was made for you.
The Semester Package gives students 10 hour-length sessions with Coach Lucy to be used over the course of a semester. The Package also gives students on-demand access to quick calls and advice at no extra charge.
