Darcy has a heart to help competitors pursue the Lord as they improve their skills. As a two-time national champion in Mars Hill, she is well-equipped to do so.
What is Darcy’s competitive experience?
Darcy was never afraid to try new events. During her three years in Stoa, Darcy competed in Apologetics, Impromptu, Mars Hill, Expository, Original Oratory, Persuasive, Dramatic Interpretation (recently changed to Literary Interpretation), Duo Interpretation, Slam Poetry, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and Parliamentary Debate. She is well-versed in every category of Stoa events—Limited Preparation speeches, Platform speeches, Interpretive events, Wild Card events, and Debate—and saw remarkable success in all five categories.
What were the highlights of Darcy’s career?
In addition to qualifying for Nationals in both her debate events, Darcy repeatedly won tournaments in speech and received the Founder’s Award in both 2025 and 2026. At Nationals, Darcy placed 3rd in Expository in 2025, made finals in both Apologetics and Expository in 2026, and placed 1st in Mars Hill in both 2025 and 2026. Darcy’s Mars Hill wins made her a back-to-back national champion and only the third competitor in Stoa history to have won the same event at NITOC two years in a row.
What makes Darcy a good coach?
While equipped to help all skill levels, Darcy has a special heart for younger competitors who are just beginning their journey. She hopes to make an impact on them in a way that encourages them to serve the Lord. To that end, Darcy begins every coaching session with ten minutes of prayer and devotions. This time is free and goes beyond any scheduled coaching.
Why Does Darcy Coach?
Darcy coaches to bring glory to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As such, she has decided to offer her coaching on a donation-based model and focuses especially on younger competitors as she remembers how challenging those early years were for her. Further, Darcy has decided to donate a portion of her proceeds to the NITOC scholarship fund to assist families who are qualified for NITOC but who need financial assistance in order to attend. Darcy does not coach for herself; she coaches for the Lord, the parents, and the students. As a coach, she is guided by the same verse that guided her as a competitor—Psalm 19:14: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.” This is why Darcy coaches.

Hourly Session
Reserve a 1-hour session to receive coaching on any limited preparation event (save Extemporaneous), platform speech, interpretive event, or wild card event. Semester Package
The Semester Package is for students seeking to benefit from all aspects of Coach Darcy’s coaching. If you are looking for a semester-long coach who will work through all aspects of your speech and debate journey with you—from goal-setting to practice to coping with successes and disappointments—, then this package was made for you.
The Semester Package gives students 10 hour-length sessions with Coach Darcy to be used over the course of a semester. Reserve a spot on Darcy’s calendar before it fills up.
