The Kairos Speech & Debate Club

The Kairos Speech & Debate Club (KSD) is an online Stoa club where students receive instruction from one of five expert alumni coaches on a weekly basis.

Our club is designed to supplement existing clubs, not replace them. You do not have to leave your current club in order to join us.

Who Teaches the Club?

Each week, one of our five expert alumni coaches lectures on a topic of his or her specialty before opening up the floor for Q&A. The KSD instructors are:

Coach Benjamin Rutten (National champion & 2x national champion coach; teaching LD, Parli, & Speech)
Coach John Semple (2x national champion; teaching LD & Speech)
Coach Hudson Kubiak (TP & Parli specialist; teaching Debate)
Coach Brayden Braun (National TP semifinalist & national speech finalist; teaching Debate & Speech)
Coach Kayla Jennings (national champion; teaching TP)

When Does the Club Meet?

The Club meets every Tuesday (holiday weeks excepted) from 8:00-9:00 pm EST.

This totals 16 meeting sessions—all taught by expert alumni coaches—for only $150. That is less than $10 per week! And if you have to miss a week, no problem; as a member of KSD, you will gain access to all our meeting recordings.
