Coach Kayla is an NCFCA national champion who specializes in coaching Team policy Debate, Apologetics, and platform speeches. Her humble yet confident demeanor allow her to relate to students in a patient and personable way.

What is Kayla's competitive experience?

Kayla recently graduated from NCFCA in 2025 after achieving national recognition. During her time in NCFCA, Kayla competed in Team Policy Debate, Apologetics, Informative, Impromptu, Digital Presentation, and Persuasive Speaking. Now, she competes in Moot Court at the collegiate level.

What were the highlights of Kayla's career?

Kayla is a national champion with an outstanding speech and debate resumé. At Nationals in 2025, Kayla won the national title in Team Policy Debate Speaking, placed 5th in Apologetics, placed 5th in Digital Presentation, and was one of only a few competitors to receive NCFCA's annual National Ironman award. Kayla placed 1st in Informative at Regionals two years in a row and took home a 1st or 2nd place ranking in every single event she competed in. So far in college, Kayla has won Moot Court and Oral Advocacy points at a regional tournament and recently placed in the top 16 out of 512 teams at collegiate Moot Court Nationals in 2026. Kayla's natural talent and persistent effort is what has allowed her to achieve success in both the high school and collegiate circuits.


What makes Kayla a good coach?

While competing in NCFCA, Kayla had four goals: honoring God, impacting the judges, speaking to the best of her ability, and breaking to the next round—in that order. Kayla seeks to inspire students to do the same, encouraging them to honor God as they develop their skills and improve their rankings.


Why Does Kayla Coach?

Kayla remembers first starting out in speech and debate and what a challenge it felt like. Now, she knows that with the right resources, any determined student can achieve success. Coach Kayla seeks to mentor students in a way that encourages, uplifts, and inspires them, providing students with the resources they need to persist and excel. This is why Kayla coaches.
