Kayla graduated from NCFCA in 2025 after achieving national recognition. During her time in NCFCA, Kayla competed in Team Policy Debate, Apologetics, Informative, Impromptu, Digital Presentation, and Persuasive Speaking. At Nationals in 2025, Kayla won the national title in Team Policy Debate Speaking, placed 5th in Apologetics, placed 5th in Digital Presentation, and was one of only a few competitors to receive NCFCA's annual National Ironman award. Kayla placed 1st in Informative at Regionals two years in a row and took home a 1st or 2nd place ranking in every single event she competed in. Kayla's natural talent and persistent effort have allowed her to master the art of public speaking. Now, her humble yet confident demeanor allow her to relate to students in a patient and personable way. While competing, Kayla had four goals: honoring God, impacting the judges, speaking to the best of her ability, and breaking to the next round—in that order. Kayla seeks to inspire students to do the same, encouraging them to honor God as they develop their skills and improve their rankings.
